Gadis Pantai (The Girl From The Coast) by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, the biggest Indonesian author, is a critically acclaimed book and is known by the fact that the book is an unfinished fiction due to military brutality. This book tells a story about a girl who grew up in Rembang in the middle of colonialism era. A critic about colonialism and Javanese feodalism. I tried to combine the culture of Rembang and Javanese illuminated manuscript, which is symbolises by Batik Lasem and also handwriting font that was handwritten freehand by me
